Over eight years at Wurrly, I played a pivotal role in transforming the company from its initial focus on a consumer karaoke app to a comprehensive arts and education platform. My responsibilities encompassed strategic leadership in marketing and product development, notably advancing the company's footprint in both the B2B and B2C sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Achievements:

  • Event Marketing and Industry Conferences:
    Spearheaded the company's presence at national conferences across the country, producing and managing booths, marketing materials, and speaker sessions that focused on the intersection of arts and technology. My efforts elevated Wurrly’s profile within the educational and tech communities, driving substantial engagement and brand recognition.
  • Full-Stack Marketing Management:
    Directed all aspects of marketing from strategy to execution, including front-end website design and partner landing pages, which I personally developed using Webflow. My expertise in UX and design ensured that all digital touchpoints were not only visually appealing but also optimized for user experience and conversion.
  • Sales Enablement and CRM Implementation:
    Implemented advanced CRM systems like HubSpot and Salesforce, integrating these tools with our marketing strategies to enhance the efficiency of our sales processes. I coached a team of SDRs (Sales Development Representatives), aligning their efforts with our broader product and marketing goals, and led the team to effectively communicate the value proposition of our platforms, significantly boosting sales and customer engagement.
  • Strategic Marketing Execution:
    Created and managed a comprehensive marketing plan that successfully targeted new B2B clients, such as schools and districts, while also managing consumer-focused campaigns for products like the Lip Sync Battle app. My strategic approach involved in-depth audience research and interaction, which were critical in developing highly effective PPC and social media advertising campaigns.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    Grew and led a team of five marketing professionals and a sales team, fostering a collaborative environment that encouraged innovation and high performance. I served as a key strategic advisor, helping to steer the company through significant transitions and ensuring that all initiatives supported our overarching business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Worked closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the overall vision for each project was effectively communicated and implemented. This role involved regular interaction with partners, including school district representatives and corporate sponsors like Viacom and Spotify, to ensure all collaborations were aligned with our strategic goals and executed flawlessly.

The strategic pivots and initiatives I led at Wurrly not only diversified our product offerings but also significantly enhanced our market penetration and revenue streams. My leadership in event marketing, CRM implementation, and team development contributed to a substantial increase in brand loyalty and customer engagement, setting new benchmarks for success within the company.
